Problems uploading and veiwing photos on the UDN

On two occasions I have uploaded an image to help better explain my problem. The image will display correctly for me , but other people are unable to view it. The reverse also happened where Alexander.Paschall uploaded an image that I was unable to view.

Often times when the owner of a post adds an image,

and saves the post

and the goes back and edits the post

the image will get invalidated

and the poster may not realize this

so its not that only certain people can see it ( as far as I know)

its that the image itself gets invalidated

the solution is to reupload the picture after making all edits

it is for this reason I tend to add new comments below a post of mine that has an image.

I’ve sometimes avoided this strange behavior by

  1. making the post
  2. adding the image
  3. saving the post and leaving the page and then coming back
  4. now when I make edits often the image will stick around :slight_smile:

So there is a work around, but I’ve found it quite inconvenient and I am glad this is being brought up
