Camera Snaps back to original position when i rotate with mouse

Hi all

I was using rolling template and setup for the camera to rotate with the mouse but when i did it rotates around the pawn and not in place like i wanted so i created a new camera above the level to see the whole floor and set up a level blueprint to use this camera on event begin play.

This looked promising except when i tried to rotate the view in any direction up and down or left and right the camera snapped back to the default position.

I thought it might of been the use controller view rotation but i tried various things and can’t work it out.

can someone tell me what i’ve missed?

HI VMU_Kiss,

This does sound like the use controller view rotation, which alters the view of the camera based on the rotation of the player controller. If you uncheck that it should help significantly.

Hi

I thought it was use controller view rotation but i have tried turning it on and off for the new cam and even tried doing that for the camera and spring on the ball with no such luck i even deleted the spring arm and camera on the ball and tried just the new camera with it unchecked with no luck i don’t know whats wrong

Can you post screenshots of your movement blueprint as well as your components tab? Thank you!

Hi

I will post this up soon when i get home but just for reference I am using a Oculus Rift and that too has the snap to original position. I’m not sure if that is helpful but i’ll give you details shortly.
