What CPU for comfortable UE4 daily work?

Hi,

I’d like to build a confortable machine to work with UE4 but not totally out of budget. I’m building a mini-itx system : I want something compact, powerful and easily transportable. So Z99 and 5820K are totally not possible for me. (Z99 will never exists in mini-itx Motherboards)

I hesitate beetween those CPUs in Z97 : - 4670S - 4670K - 4770K - 4790K (the one i think i’ll take)

My future buid is pretty complete. I think i’d rather go for the I7-4790K. Will i notice a big performance difference if I choose a less powerful processor then the I7-4790K ? Is there a big difference beetween the 4790K and the 5820K in unreal 4 daily work ? (or is it anodectic ?) Which one of these CPUs would be reasonable and pretty confortable in daily usage ?

That said there is not a big difference in the price, but in performance i think it is. So is the juice worth the squeeze ? I think i’ll get the 4790K and put a NVidia GTX 9xx series in it. (970 or 960)

If needed i’ll post the systems elements i’ve choosen. Just ask.

I’ve read and i know the system requirements for UE4.
I just want to make sure i pick the right hardware.

Thank you. Best regards.

Apologies for having created a double topic. I encountered serious problems when posting and created double subjects.

In the first answer of this topic i give the system i’ve planned to built :

Give your advices.

Bye.

I’ve changed my mind.

I’ve read some tests and the 5820K seems far better than the 4790K in heavy tasks.

I’ve also read this : A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Epic Developer Community Forums

I keep my goal to built a tiny machine, so i choose mini-atx.

I can reuse a PSU and a DVD burner, so that’s what i’ll built :

Total : 846,50 €. Far better than the mini-itx built.

I’m waiting for GTX 970 refresh in 3 months to buy a graphic card.

Cheers ! ! !
