[FIXED] Unable to log in to UE4?

I am unable to log into UE4 with the following message:

I thought it was the maintenance, but when looking closer I see that the maintenance will say “503 unable to authenticate”, and not “Did not get a response”.

I also get this error when checking for updates:

Which appears to mean that UE4 has got no connection to the internet at all, for some strange reason.

I have also tried using multiple VPNs (I do not use a VPN by default), and have tried restarting the computer - Neither worked.

How can I fix this? Thanks!

Update: Running as administrator (On an administrator account? o.O) seems to have got me past that screen. After I have it downloaded and can use it I will declare this as solved.

Oh. I talked about the notice and the additional information when I originally made the thread but due to the forum’s bad logging system forgot to re-add the information when I had to re-type the post.

Basically, it said in “more details” that it would be a 503 error. Also, I was unable to connect for over 15 hours, when it said “short outages”.

When I finish downloading (Presuming it will work), I will try running as non-administrator and see if that is or isnt the problem.

I see in your update that you successfully managed to get access. While it may be due to you logging in as administrator, it was most likely just timing.

If you look at the top of the AnswerHub you will notice a message that we are aware of online outages occurring due to maintenance (this maintenance and the message will be ending after today).
