Characters can't break destruct

If we create a destructible mesh, set the damage tolerance very low and run the character into it. The mesh will be pushed but will never break until it makes impact with the ground or another rigid body.

Does this occur in a blank project with no additional content? Which version of the editor are you currently using?

It does happen in a blank project, we’re using an latest-preview build from CL2270794

You are correct, this is directly correlated to the impulse normal bug reported on that other thread.
