Some troubles with VS after compiling the engine from source
I'm having some issues after compiling the engine from source:
Non of these issues are present when I use the binary version of the engine.
I have Windows 8.1 and VS 2013 Express.

What version of the Engine are you using? I ran some tests with the latest release version (4.4.3) and was not able to see the last three issues that you mentioned.
The first issue that you bring up is actually expected. Whenever you create a code project using the Engine built from source code, the code for the Engine is included in the solution, and the Engine project is set as the startup project. If you press F5 to start the project in the debug environment in Visual Studio, it actually runs the Engine project, which gives you the Project Browser. If you want to load directly into your game project, you have a couple options:
Both of these options will open your game project inside the Editor from within Visual Studio's debugging environment. The second option provides a more "permanent" solution, the first one you would have to do every time you want to debug your game project.
If you are used to using the Binary version of the Engine, the only project included in the solution when you create a new code game project is the game project itself, so pressing F5 will open the game in the Editor. This is one of the differences between the Binary and source code versions of the Engine.
