Lighting only view mode

What value is the material when you view lighting only?

The value of lighting only is to show how the shadows are in a given scene. Because many static meshs have different resolutions the lighting only is to see how only the lighting looks to make sure its clean and balanced throughout the scene.

I’m asking what value, as in HSV, the material is. .5? .8?

Most of the time I use the HSV to add material functions to a material. For example you have a wood texture that is .2 nearly black and white. you multiply the material by a color (blue). Now you have a wood material that looks painted blue but still has the wood grain in it.
