Terrain and mesh material blending

Is it possible to achieve effect like this in UE4?


It looks amazing. Or maybe there is another way to achieve similar effect? The most important thing for me is to eliminate this harsh border visible between inserted mesh and terrain (in place where they intersect)

I have no idea how it’s done, but it somehow must get landscape’s material from the bottom of mesh and apply it around intersecting surfaces with smooth blending…

I’d like to know this as well…

there are some tutorials on YouTube on how to do this. You can find the Unreal Engine channel and start watching tutorials there. Some of them really helped me.
