This is a silly question, but where is Lerp in Material Editor?

I’m looking at the 2-way blend materials tutorials and see they use Lerp in their expressions, though I can’t seem to find it anywhere :-/

Dear Jonathan,

It is listed under “LinearInterpolate”

so do a search for “Linear” and you should see it immediately

This has always confused me as well

I type in Lerp almost every time and never see it

if a re-direct could be put in place or additional keyword for searches that would be great!

i will also add a request for ‘lerp’ as I type that in every.single.time only to remember that its only listed with linear.

Hey everybody, I just thought I would come in and let you know that you will be able to search “Lerp” for LinearInterpolate in an upcoming build.

Cheers!

Alexander

+1 To this. As a beginner, I spent a LONG time looking for the “Lerp” node. It wasn’t until I learned HLSL more that I knew what Lerp meant and tried searching for that in the material editor.

Thanks for the replies peeps. And thanks Alexander for the upcoming change!

Hold L and leftclick on the grey area and you should have it.

Oh man thank you so much
