Vault Cache duplicate files

For the last couple of months I have noticed that I keep running out of space on my C: drive.
I clean up unnecessary files all the time and deliberately keep all my UE work and marketplace downloads on my 2TB D: drive.

The typical Windows 7 Low Disk Space message appeared yet again today, so I did a little investigation.
It wasn’t long before I found duplicate copies of every demo I ever downloaded from the marketplace in:

C:\Program Files\Unreal Engine\Launcher\VaultCache, 15GB of duplicates!

When I save a marketplace download to my D: drive why is a duplicate copy still being saved on my C drive?
Can I disable this behaviour?

Hi ash22,

The Vault is made to keep the original version of the DLC safe and each time you create a new project it creates a copy of that content. This can’t be disabled. The Vault content will be store on which ever drive that the Launcher is installed on. So you can uninstall and reinstall the Launcher to your D: drive and all of the Vault content will be stored there.
