"Error: Did not get a response. Are you connected to the internet?"

Hi Epic,

Everytime I attempt to log into the Unreal Engine launcher, I am receiving the error: Did not get a response. Are you connected to the internet?"

I am definitely connected to the internet and I have even tried turning off my windows firewall. Still not able to log in. I have looked for any other resolved questions related to this but unable to find a proper solution. I have attached the DXDiag and unreal engine log produced.

Hi DazzNoob,

Are you accessing the internet through a proxy server?

No, I don’t believe I am. I have house mates who are connected to the same internet hub and they are able to log into the Unreal Launcher without any issue.

Hi DazzNoob,

We use the windows internet options for connections and we recently found out that some programs can disable certain TLS and SSL settings. Can you open up windows Internet Options (either through control panel or running msconfig.exe->Tools->Internet Options)? In the Advanced tab, scroll down the settings and make sure that “Use TLS 1.0”, “Use TLS 1.1”, “Use TLS 1.2”, “Use SSL 2.0”, “Use SSL 3.0” are enabled?

Carlos

Hi Carlos

TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, TLS 1.2 were not enabled, but upon enabling them, the launcher is working as should be! Thank you very much for helping

This solution fixed the problem here.
