Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Event Bind target expects a type of SKEL_XXXX but the dispatcher is of type BP_Character..

Hi! Im trying to create a simple event that should be called by my character and consumed by the level blueprint.

However... For some reason when drag and droping the event dispatcher from my character to the level blueprint and adding the "Bind".. the binds target-property expects a type of SKEL_BP_Character_C?..SKEL?????

BP_Character: alt text

Level blueprint: alt text Didnt manage to get a screenshot with the tooltip shown for the property.. but as mentioned it expects a type of SKEL_BP_Character_C (Or as it says SKEL BP Charcater C)

Any ideas of what to do with the target-property?

Br, Inx

Just thought I might add a link to the forum discussion regarding this since thats where we ended up having a more "in detailed" trouble shooting..

Still no fix for this issue so if anyone has anything new to add, please feel free to do that :).

Just a copy/paste from here (also answered you on the forums): https://answers.unrealengine.com/questions/117937/blueprint-communication-changed-in-45.html#answer-118636

This is the same issue I had, and is caused by an experimental feature in 4.5 called "Use New Blueprint Menuing System". Turning this feature off will solve the problem. :)
