New reflections: Is it possible to modify them in the material editor?

With UE’s new reflection system I can’t find a way to change the reflections’ looks in the material editor… (like desaturate it or whatever). It seems it’s all automatic and all you can control is the intensity through the Metallic base node…And since it’s a final output you can’t add to it or change it in anyway, unlike say a good old cubemap reflection in UDK. They are not accessible like any other texture…

Am I missing something? or are the new reflections impossible to modify?

Hello Aloys,

A bit of clarification on the Metallic and Roughness. In the general sense something is either fully metallic or not at all. In other words it is metal, or it is not metal. The roughness of the material really is what controls the reflection of the object. If an object has a fully rough material, like sandstone, the object will not have a reflective property. However if the object has a roughness of 0, like water, the object will reflect the environment. Be sure to add a spehere reflection capture sphere as well. Hope this helps clarify your question!

Cheers,
