Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Hey DaffyTwo-

The Optional.zip is only necessary when using Linux, Visual Studios 2012, or running on Mac. If these don't apply then you won't need to download the optional.zip.

I think such resources can be published through torrents. Why not ?

We're switching to a new system for downloading dependencies for the 4.6 release. You won't need to manually download those giant zip files any more; they're downloaded automatically (in smaller pieces) and set up for you.

Have you tried a resumable download manager? That way if the connection terminates you can simply resume rather than restarting.

Hey DaffyTwo-

I have submitted a feature request for us to investigate making the file sizes smaller so they will take less time to download

Cheers
