More of a light hearted comment…
Why don’t you just use Drupal for your marketing and public facing infrastructure?
This could unify all your current web presence, like forums, feature/ marketing site, thie question board etc etc…
You have all these great PHP based websites and obviously a great web team.
Drupal could had handled all this in 1 fell swoop and not had to handle all the integration hurdles.

In the light of very recent events, I’m not sure Epic would have been very happy with Drupal.

Hehe, fair enough.
Though in the words of Alan Jude (security guy): "assuming you patch your s*** " you should be OK.
You cant deny it’s an invaluable resource to most organisations. Though willing to be persuaded otherwise!
