  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Actor self destroyed without any destroy event on it.

Hi, why an actor self destroy after one to two minutes of game play. The actor do not have any destroy event on it, it just self destroy after one minute and a half.

Hey Roy-

To better understand what is going on there is some other information I have to ask about. Is your actor created in code or with blueprints? If you have multiple actors in the level do they all get destroyed at the same time?

Also, the link you gave does not lead to your video. If you can think of anything else that would help explain what is happening it will help narrow down the cause of the problem you're having.

Hi, Mr. Wilson, Doug, I have created a new blueprint actor and the problem was resolved.

Maybe the static mesh have some bugs, cause all that I did was replace the static mesh.

Hi again Mr. Doug Wilson Have been a year since ave mark this fixed but the same problem persist. I'm using UE 4.6, the actor and the hole game is created with blueprint, the only one that disappears or destroy itself is the one you are playing with. The mayn actor is not a character type is actor type.

The mayn actor is not a character type is actor type.

Hey Roy-

Do you see the same thing happening if you copy the project to 4.9? Can you post a screenshot of how your actor is setup in blueprint so that I can attempt to follow your setup? If possible could you upload your project, or a sample project with the same issue, to dropbox and then send me a PM on the forums to download the project?

Hi, Wilson, the Blueprint is kind of "BIG", but I will upload a picture and I also will try to upload the game system. Do it have to be thru Drop Box? can it be by google drive?

Hi, Wilson I'm changing the Actor to a Paper 2d Character but know the touch inputs won't work for example the SWIPE event.

I just wanted to touch base and see if you had had the chance to test your touch inputs or upload the project? If you're still having an issue with the actor disappearing please post a link to the project so that I can investigate the problem directly.

I'll try to upload the files on Thursday. Also I have changed the actor to a character type. So far so good!!!

But a I really would like to know what is the Bug or issue.
