Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Best way to texture a parking lot?

Hi,

This is a bit of a silly question, but I was wondering how I should texture my parking lot spaces. I could make several surfaces with a repeating line texture on it. Or I could paint them on 1 large surface. Should I paint this on a landscape? What is best way to do this?

Thanks in advance.

you could float a static mesh quad strip above the tiling pavement for each line you need. it could be textured with a trim sheet that has transparency. since the parking lot lines won't take up the whole sheet, you can add other related trims like the sign posts, tire marks, curbs, or concrete gutters.

or you can try using a decal, but i think those work better for more squarely proportioned stains instead of long strips.
