Anti-Aliasing work around

so while working with foliage and adding in custom world offset nodes for wind affects and swaying motions. I am noticing AA is absoultely horrendous and making my objects super blurry and adds an almost pixelated look. The only way i have found to fix this is add a global post process volume with the settigns: >Misc>AA Method>FXAA on

is this correct? expensive? or is there a better practice?

thanks!

Hello Dynako,

You are correct in assuming the post process is the place to fix this setting, but there should also be a setting called “Temporal AA” which provides a higher quality anti-aliasing, but is a bit more expensive.

Within the same “Post Process Volume” change the “Motion Blur” settings to 0.0 for both the “Amount” and the “Max.”

Another way to increase the visual quality of your effects would be to change your increase your “Engine Scalability Settings.”

Use the image posted below as reference to where to locate these settings:

Hope this helps!

Thanks Andrew, this will help a lot in getting in the right direction so much appreciated.
