Have Mesh Paint controls "ctrl" and "ctrl+shift" been removed or replaced?
I want to do some vertex blending on a mesh and if I want to paint a color, say full red channel, I paint with the Paint Color a full white, and if I want to subtract values from the red channel I have to go into Paint Color and switch it to black. Ctrl and ctrl+shift do not seem to work for this anymore. has this functionality been changed or removed?
Cannot seem to find any documentation on the tool. If I have missed it, please point me in the right direction. Thanks for any help!

I'd like to bump this. For me, regular left-click paints, shift-left click erases. So the old ctrl-click to paint is gone. That in itself is fine, but right now if I try to pan my viewport camera by pressing my left and right mouse buttons at the same time, the paint tool registers a brush stroke (because I hit left-click.) Maybe the old ctrl-click to paint should make a comeback?

This should point you in the right direction as far as documentation goes:
Happy Painting! :)

Oops, I meant left click to paint, and shift left click to unpaint, same as you. I get those pesky directions messed up sometimes:)
I'm nearly used to it by now, but the painting while trying to move the camera with left and right click is somewhat annoying.
