Building static mesh...(96%)

Gang,

When importing graphics the system hangs at 96% i’m importing .fbx files but anything over 100kb seems to stop at 96% anyone know why? in task manager everything looks good, I let it sit at 96% for days… with no completion…

Oops, Sorry I got it working it just takes a long time, so I stalled 2x Nvidia K6000’s in SLI and re-imported and it worked… it looks like it frozen but after 12 hrs it completed the import… Wish there was a way to show that its working besides a screen freezing…

No problem, but if you have two of these really powerful graphics cards and it still took 12 hours to complete the import, your problem seems to be with you CPU and not your graphics processing.

Would you mind posting your dxdiag so I can take a look at your PC specs?

Hmm it pegs my GPU’s not my CPU, I have 2 x Intel Xeon Processor E5-2687W in the machine, their never pegged when importing… I will post the DxDiag of the machine on Monday when back in office.

Wow you have quite the machine on your hands. Would you mind sending me one of the files you are attempting to import? Your assets might be corrupt so I would like test it on my end to see if that is the case.
