Unreal Engine Units?

Hey guys! I’m so confused. :frowning: I’ve created a building model in 3ds max for UE4 and I used the correct parameters same as the building plan. I’ve imported that and it’s so unproportional. Any idea what should I change to get the realistic rate? I know 1m in 3ds max is 1 unit in my max model. What should I change in 3d max to get it right?
The correct values are: my building floor is 3.5m high. I’ve placed a box to compare. If 200 UU is 200cm, it’s not really right. So my model should be 1.5 times higher. than my box.

Hello rugabi,

It appears that your model is 100 times too small. This is because when you imported the model from 3ds Max you were using meters. The engine uses centimeters. Max is only telling the engine the number of units involved in the scale of your model. In this case it is 3.5 units high (in Max these units are set to meters). The engine says “ok 3.5 units” and gives you a model that is 3.5 centimeters high. In short you need to set your units in 3ds Max to centimeters instead of meters. I hope this helps

Make it a great day.
