Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Unreal Engine 4.5.1 Editor crashing on opening any project

I am totally new to Unreal Engine and I just completed downloading the editor version 4.5.1

I opened the editor and created a new project (tried various blueprints and even empty) But whenever I open any of these projects, the editor gives a crash report with MachineID and EpicAccountID

My System Configuration :-
Model : HP Probook 4440s
Processor : Intel Core i5-3230M @ 2.60GHz (quad core)
Graphics : Intel HD 4000
RAM : 4GB
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
UE version : 4.5.1

Here is screenshots of my DxDiag :- DxDiag1 DxDiag2

Any help would be appreciated :) !!

Hey xLR-

Unfortunately your hardware is well below what is recommended to run the engine. This is a known crash that is currently being investigated. This link gives the recommended hardware for a variety of setups: https://wiki.unrealengine.com/Recommended_Hardware

You can also find community feedback on what hardware systems/setups are currently in use and how they preform here: https://forums.unrealengine.com/showthread.php?20643-Official-Hardware-Performance-Survey
