CrashReportClient.exe missing in UE4.5 and 4.5.1

Any attempt to package a project results in the error:

“MainFrameActions: Packaging (Windows (64-bit)): ErrorReporter.Error: ERROR: AutomationTool error: No files found to deploy for E:\My Documents\Downloads\Unreal\Source\451\Build\UnrealEngine-4.5.1-release\Engine\Binaries\Win64 with wildcard CrashReportClient.exe and exclusions”

Hello, I’m using the 4.5.1 version and there is the file CrashReportClient.exe in my win64 folder in binaries. Don’t know if it’s a problem with the github version but with the launcher one there is no missing file.

of course, launcher is bugfree but source compiles dont get the files or file it should so errors come up.

The problem is with the Github version.
I can package with the Launcher version just fine.

Hey dinker99-

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. I was able to reproduce this internally and have submitted it to our tracking system (UE-5317) for further investigation. As long as you are still able to package a project through the lanucher, this issue will be resolved in a future update to the engine.

Cheers

For anyone unwilling to wait for Epic to fix this, just right-click on CrashReportClient in Visual Studio and select “Build”.

Are you able to package the project after building the CrashReportClient?

Yes, building CrashReportClient is a complete fix. Maybe Epic should give me a job haha.

Hi, I am having the same problem every time I build a project with UE4. I installed Visual Studio, but I am not having any luck building the CrashReportClient.exe file in it. How exactly do I go about it?
Thank you!
Steve
