PhysX SDK 3.4 and PhysX Flex Integration

When is PhysX Flex going to be integrated into Unreal Engine 4? I would like to make pretty water smoke and weather effects with this technology.

PhysX SDK 3.4 has not been publicly released and from what I understand Flex is still a ways out.

PhysX recently released the 3.3.2 SDK which will be implemented in the coming releases.

As with a lot of Nvidia’s tech it is only available for their graphics cards thus eliminating part of the community from developing with it that don’t use their cards. If you would like to use their tech specifically you would need to license it from them and integrate the tech into your source build of UE4.

Just a note, NVIDIA has released a Flex version of UE4 on their github – works fine.

Hi Alex,

The link is still working. Just make sure that you’re UE4 account is linked to GitHub and that you have already logged in on GitHub for the link to work.

For me, it takes me directly to NV’s flex integration they did.

I’m trying to run FleX too, but after build the engine and FleX I’m getting no collision to the FleX particles. In the example project, particles just fly into objects and fall through the ground, and nothing happens… Some clue?
