Uneven Illumination of dynamic object with spotlight

As you can see in the following picture, the characters beneath the spotlight get abnormal uneven amounts of light. http://puu.sh/cWO0f/e5a613d3aa.jpg

One step left Im dark, one step right I'm super bright. This shouldn't happen as I use a very large angle for the spotlight.

Here's the spotlight setup: http://puu.sh/cWOD3/09eeb1fa50.jpg

Note that the other spotlights arround are static so they don't affect dynamic objects.

What's going on? How can I fix this?

Problem solved: adding a missing lightmass importance volume allows UE to calculates the volume lighting samples properly. I did not know that and I'm happy to see it is not an issue!

Hi Bigzer,

I've not been able to reproduce this on my end. I used your setup for your spot light and only used stationary ones in my scene since static lights would not affect the character player anyway.

Here is my test setup:

I didn't see any sort of issue with the lighting giving similar results to what you're seeing.

Are you able to reproduce this in a scene other than your own project?

Thank you!

This is curious indeed, allow me to come back to you, I'll try to build a repro project for you to download.

Tim, I have found the culprit: A missing lightmass importance volume. I found it out when I tried to make the repro level for you and I did not have the issue even when I copy pasted the entire room from the other level. Thank you very much for looking into it, Epic's support is the best out there!
