[Request]:Content Browser - toggle to show "windows" folders and non-ue files

More and more it feels to me like it would be great if there would be toggle button for Content Browser to show folders which are not yet created in Rocket, but they are there in “Windows Explorer”. Too often I create a new folder in explorer so that I can copy/export files there. Then in Rocket I have to “re-create” the same folder and then import the files.

On these greyed out folders visible only in explorer (so far) there would be a right-click option to “import” or “create” the folder in Rocket which would remove the “greyed out” effect.

I guess with asking for another toggle to show “non-ue” files I’m stretching it too far? By non-ue files I mean source files like png textures, fbx files. These non-ue files would be too greyed out and in rightclick they would have option to import them into Rocket format.

I think generally it’s a bit confusing (at least for ue beginners) to see different stuff (folders/files) in Rocket vs Windows Explorer while actually looking at the same “place”.

Hi Tomas,

Thank you for your feedback. Our developers have discussed this very feature many times. It is being considered, but may be incompatible with the way the editor looks at folders. If they are able to make it work, then it will be implemented into a future release.

Cheers!
