Car sinking in the ground

i’m working on a car race project. i have a road made by spline mesh. the problem is that the car in some parts of the road sink into the ground. another problem when the car collides with other objects it flies in the sky and spine around for a while.

thx in advance

Hey AlaaEltayeb-

Could you post a screenshot or video of the car sinking into the ground and what happens when it collides with another object? Also, as for the car sinking into the ground I would check that the wheels as well as the body of the car has collision and that it is made to collide with “World Dynamic”.

Cheers

Hi there,

To fix the wheels going into the ground open up your VehicleWheel blueprints (front and rear wheels) and increase the radius of your tires. The best way is to measure the wheels in your modeling program and input that value directly, this should fix that issue.

For the collision issue, Mike Skolones from NVIDIA is currently investigating a couple of issues to do with the vehicle setup in UE4, he has not found the cause of this yet, but you can see his progress in this thread on the forums. It is a known problem though, hopefully he can find the cause soon.

Hope that helps!

`here’s a screenshot of wt happens

Could you provide a screenshot of the blueprints component and collision settings for your car and wheels as well? Also, were you able to try using 's solution to see if that works for you?

Thank you! That helped me

Hi, I think the same thing happens to me. The problem is that I try to change the radio and it still doesn’t work, can someone please help me?
