Importing .obj with textures to UDK

Generally, it works better to set the material up separately in unreal. You can import the images that make up the material and create the material in Unreal. Are you using UDK or unreal 4?

I wanted to make a game with an imported model. I download the .obj file off the internet, but It could not be imported into UDK so I used blender to save it as an fbx. In blender it showed up fine, with the texture fully working. However, when I imported the fbx in UDK there was no texture. I have looked at tutorials on this, but nothing solves me problem. Please help, I have been stuck on this for hours.

I am using UDK. In the directory where I downloaded the original file I see a .mtl file, a .png file and two .dds files. What procedure would I follow to create the materiel in UDK.

Also thanks so much for your help, it’s the only answer I’ve got for this.
