Attaching light to skeletal mesh socket

Hi,

So I’m in the 3rd Person template and I figured out how to attach a weapon (a skeletal mesh so I can add a socket) to the Player’s hand. However, when i try and attach a point-light to a socket on the already attached weapon, the point light does attach but it seems to attach to the socket on the player mesh that the weapon is attached to, rather than the socket on the weapon I made for the light.
Here’s the pic of the blueprint to show what I’ve done.

Any ideas?
