Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Can I release a free demo from UE4 to the public?

I'm wanting to show people how good this engine is and was thinking of releasing a demo of maybe the Effects level or a demo that I make. Would either one be ok to release or is that against policy?

Thanks.

Yes, and you're free to use and release the content Epic provides in the Marketplace in your UE4 projects, whether they are free or commercial.

I believe as per the documentations of some of the showcase items that they can all be used as you wish. So yes you could build the demo and release it as a .exe package and share it I think there is nothing wrong with that :-). i managed to put the Temple demo onto my android device runs a bit slow but still neat!

Yes - You only have to pay money if you make money - so a free demo would not cost you anything as you don't make any money off of it... If however your free demo had some type of place where people could make "in-app-purchases" I think you would want to read the fine print or contact sales.
