Empty Layer Blend entry?

Good evening everybody,

I have a question I’m very curious about. My question is: Is there any possibility to make a empty entry in a Landscape Layer Blend? For example I created a Landscale Layer Blend with 4 entrys and connected it to the Base Color, each entry has a texture plugged in. Now I want to create a Layer Blend for the Normal maps, but not for every Diffuse Texture I have in the Layer Blend for the Base Color.

So let’s say I have a snow texture which is only white, but I don’t want a Normal map for the snow. I only want for the grass and the rock texture a normal map, so how am I able to do it, that I only have for the rock and grass texture a normal map, but not for the snow? Because when I only plug the normal map for the rock inside the layer blend for the normals, than every texture get the normal map of the rock or every texture except the rock gets black.

Here a little Screenshot to show what I mean, in this case I want only to have a normal map on the rock texture:

Hi frezer748,

Please do not bump threads that have not gone unanswered for more than 4 days, this causes the answerhub to become cluttered and makes it much more difficult to help users.

Yes, you can do that without problem. As long as your layers contain the same name you won’t run into issues with the normal map on the rocks, and the other pins do not require an input.
