How change the play mode quality ( jagged edges )

Hi every one,

I have just start using UE4 (4.5.1 version) and get started with the content exemple project.
When i launch the play simulation the quality turns down so i even cannot read the instructions.
In fact the weird thing is that just occurring when i’am in player controller mode ; as soon as i press the eject button, quality return to normal.

When player controller is in possess mode:

When player controller is in ejected mode:

I wanted to know if i can control the quality of the play preview mode or a way to kill these awful jagged edges.
Maybe is only due to my computer specs?:

Dell XPS L701X (laptop)

GeForce GT 45M

intel core i7 CPU Q740 1,73GHz

8Go RAM

1600x960, 60Hz

Windows 7 home premium

Waiting for your answers.
Thank you

Hello Snakos,

What you are seeing is your AA settings which cause that stair step effect you are seeing on the edges of your objects. There are a few ways to change/increase the quality of your graphics, and depending on your systems specifications the outcomes can vary.

Engine Scalability Settings

Here you can set the overall Quality of the Engine and how things on rendered through various settings. In your case make sure the ‘Anti-Aliasing’ mode is set to ‘High’ or ‘Epic.’ Keep in mind this will affect your computers performance.

Global Post Process Anti-Aliasing

Within your ‘Scene Outliner,’ find the ‘Global Post Process Volume’ and be sure the ‘Temporal AA’ is on and checked for ‘100.0.’

Hopefully one of these suggestions resolves your issue, but if you are still having problems let us know so we can further investigate.

Thanks,

Thank you very much Andrew.

The engine scalability settings was set at low. i’ve just push them higher and it worked well for me!
Thanks again for taking your time to answer my question.

Have a nice day.
