If I understand your question correctly, then yes the engine should recognize animations you’ve created with controllers verses directly on the joints. However if you are experiencing difficulties, please describe in detail what you are trying to achieve.

It will depend on your export settings. Generally, we like to bake the motion down onto the joints in Maya before export, so that we know what we’re going to get. The other option is to select your joints on export, and make sure your fbx export options have ‘bake animation’ checked.

Thanks a lot! It works. I baked my animation when my controllers were selected not joints so it did not work.
