Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Office Holiday

Epic Games' offices will be on holiday from June 22nd to July 7th. During this period support will be limited. Our offices will reopen on Monday, July 8th. 

Mac version is virtually unusable...

Alright - I'm using a MacPro with dual AMD Firepro D700s, with 6 gigs of VRAM, 32 gigs of ram and a 3.5 gig 6 core XEON E5 using Mac System 10.10.1 and it runs like hell.

I just bought the city scape modular set to supplement my own work and it does not load anything with out crashing the system. Not only is it slow and sluggish - it is virtually unusable right now.

What am I doing wrong is my first question and is there a fix being worked on so we Mac users can really tap into the power of the editor?

Also - sometimes when building lighting - I can't select apply or discard buttons and this is also true of some other dialog boxes that crop up.

Is there a series of fixes on the horizon?

In order to pinpoint the cause of the crashes you are experiencing with the City Scape Modular, please provide the following crash logs:

The UE4.log (Located: ~/Library/Logs/Unreal Engine/Editor/)

The ProjectName.log (Located: ~/Library/Logs/Unreal Engine/ProjectNameEditor/)

The Callstack: If the Crash Reporter Pop Up window is present, there is a button that says “Copy Callstack to Clipboard.” Press that button and paste the information into a document.
