Oculus Rift not detected on Mac

When I run the standalone build of games, it doesn’t show the content in stereo and “stereo on” does nothing. The device works fine with OculusWorldDemo.app that was built with Unity.

It seems that currently the Oculus Rift is only supported on Windows: A new, community-hosted Unreal Engine Wiki - Announcements - Unreal Engine Forums

sadly yep - tested same thing (in case wiki wasn’t updated)

Any clue when it’ll be available on mac version of UE4?

Thanks!

How did you open up the console on mac ? I dont get it…

hit the ` key when you’re in the game. From there you can enter STAT FPS or “stereo on” or whatever.

Would like to know that as well.

No news on OSX support? My Rift is collecting dust. :frowning:

Hi everyone,

The Oculus is currently compatible with OSX with a very specific setup.

  • SDK Runtime must not be installed (this will limit some of the Oculus development options)

  • You must be running version 4.3.1 of the editor (not 4.4 or later)

We are working to improve this process and hope to have updates on this topic in the future.

Thanks,
TJ

Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the solid integration.
