Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

View stretched at the edges

Hello, I recently started to play around with ue4 and I noticed a strange distortion/stretch around the screen which I failed to find information on(probably because of incorrect search queries). This is what I mean:

Circle when in the center: alt text

Circle when in the corner of the screen: alt text

When objects closes near edges of the screen they get a bit stretched/distorted. It's more noticable on circular objects and when the view is smaller than the actual screen resolution(e.g. working in editor) or when the game is in fullscreen, but it's also visible on regular models etc. I've tried the shooter demo and a couple of other small games and they all had the same thing. This stretching is also apparent on my friend's computer + a couple of other computers. Could someone point me in the right direction to fix this?

Sorry if this question is stupid

Hello PauliusJ! Welcome to the answer hub!

I think what you're looking for is the 'Field Of View' option on your camera. Default it is at 90 which is a pretty wide angle. Try changing it to something lower like 30-35.

Let me know if that doesn't work.

Just what I needed, no more stretching, thank you!
