Pretty much what the title says. I created a composite font using .otf fonts I bought from blambot.com (one font also causes a crash on trying to import). But when I try to move the uasset files over to my mac, the editor crashes when I try to open the asset.

I don’t think I’ve changed anything in the editor config. I started a new project, 3rd person, c++, mobile/max/no starter content, and added the assets to a new directory Game/UI/Font.
I’m finding that sometimes it works, sometimes it crashes (after restarting). I haven’t figured out a pattern to it through. Starting up my backup mac mini to try it out there.
That error message seems to be from Gatekeeper, and there seems to be a fair few complaints around the internet of it misidentifying a variety of applications with that error message.
I tried on my Mac at home and got the same error you reported, but if I disabled Gatekeeper, the app ran fine (you can re-enable it again afterwards): http://www.yourkit.com/download/mountain_lion.html
