Unable to right click BSP vert to change location of pivot point.

I used to be able to change the pivot point of BSP by right clicking a BSP Vertice. I need to be able to do this from “Place” Mode, so that I can rotate the BSP.

The reason this is important is because I occasionally rotate BSP without snapping, and then go back and snap each vertice to the grid. This is incredibly useful for lining up certain things while maintaining correct widths on walls, or windows, etc.

In Geometry edit mode, I can change the pivot point, but I’m unable to rotate BSP from the geometry edit mode. I actually consider that to be a limitation.

In short: I request the ability to change the pivot point on BSP by right clicking on vertices in “Place” mode, so that I can rotate BSP.

Thanks!

EDIT! I’m noticing that I can right click vertices from my lower orthographic viewport (side view), but I’m unable to do it from my upper orthographic viewport (top view). Strange.

Hi ,

You should definitely be able to rotate the bsp while in geometry edit mode. If you select the bsp and then right click on a vertice to place the transform widget at that location without actually selecting the vertice (make sure it isn’t highlighted), you will be able to use the transformation widgets to rotate from the point you specified. Note: I checked to be certain that this was working in 4.6, which version of the editor are you currently using?
