How can I load my project without it crashing? 4.4/4.6

Hi, earlier yesterday, I was working on my project and it was running fine in unreal editor as well as for loading. When I closed laptop whilst it was running for a while then came back to it, editor just crashed. Then, I tried loading project again and again but they all resulted with software crashing ( I even tried project on different versions of unreal 4). I really need to get this project working again otherwise I am doomed since this is coursework for uni and I’ve working on this months. Any help appreciated.

I have a suggestion no idea if it will work, but its worth a try. Create a new project and then copy assets one at a time from old project to new one. Maybe you’ll figure out what asset is causing issue. Maybe its project itself. assets should be in your documents folder.

Hi Shaknat,

Sorry to hear you’re having some trouble with your project. I have assigned this issue to someone on my team to look into. In meantime, can you please and attach crash log and dump file for project after it crashes? You can read more about kinds of details we’d like here:

Thanks!

Hi  this is link to my crash log and actual project files that have crash error. https://.com/folderview?id=0B0pI4S_X4elONkpYcEljbUFiLUU&usp=sharing

Hi Shaknat,

file uploaded is callstack, if you could, go to filepath:

\Unreal Projects\PROJECTNAME\saved\logs\

In here should be crash logs, grab file closest to time of most recent crash and that may help us figure out what is occurring. Does file crash immediately upon startup? Are you able to open any other projects?

Hi Shaknat,

We have not heard from you in quite some time. I am marking this thread as answered for tracking purposes. If you are still experiencing this error, please comment with requested information. Thank you.

Hi,

I’ve luckily found a slightly older file of project in my uni server that works.

Hi Shaknat,
