Layered Materials support just one Shading Model?

is it correct that the Layered Materials only support one shading model at the time??
i was testing the workflow with layered materials and i thought that in every material function (material) i can have a different shading model and in the end i can combine them all in one material.

example i have skin ,leather, rubber and chrome material and i select the all the palaces for the materials via different masks…

but as i see it now i can just make different materials for the same type in on layered material (like different metal types)

is this right??

Hey DarknesZ -

Layered Material will use the Shader Model of the top or final layered material in your setup. In the instance you are referring to, it is still the preferred method to use a multi-material mesh.
