Problem with UV tiling
I'm making a material to simulate a fur shader on my Wolf, but when I make the same material from 3D studio max, it doesn't look as good as the original in 3D studio max.
Here some screenshots to understand the situation.

You need to check if your UV channel is set up correctly. (Did you properly unwrap your mesh with the uvw unwrapper?) Did you bake it out or are you relying on tiling the texture?
The 3dsmax opacity mask works different than in ue4, in UE4 its either ON or OFF so you might want to try the regular opacity input.
Cant give any more thoughts without actual looking at the model myself.
