Hi just curious if this is a bug or something.
But i cannot trace it back why.
I tried to look in my karma history. But it shows no down votes what so ever.
I kinda wanna know what caused my karma to disappear over night.
and if it was because of me expressing a tiny bit of how i felt in my post?
Following tab in my profile does not really enlighten me on how it happened:
If a new comment is added to a question it is marked as unanswered and you lose the points for answering it.
Unless a different one got selected usually you get the points back within a day or two.
so you are saying you lose a point when answering someone?
No. You lose points if a question is not fully answered and another comment is added.
Only the accepted answer counts for this so if another comment is added to your answer. I might’ve formulated this a bit poorly. Sorry for that.
You also can’t lose points but only get taken away the once from answers which got “deaccepted”.
honestly who cares? the karma function isn’t what makes you a valuable member of this community, the help you give is it. people could reply complete non-sense (like i do here) to a question and still get karma points. so don’t care about karma and just reply to questions you can actually help.

Your questions don’t have upvotes either so it does look legit…
I never said it shows how valuable a member is.
And its not the direction i was going with the question either.
If you read it correctly then you can see Its a technical question.
From the way you respond it looks like you think i’m worried.
Which i am not lol. it was just about 20 karma that suddenly dissipated.
not a thousand or anything.
The technical part was that it made no sense that it dissipated right after i posted again after being away for a while.
Also i’m pretty sure karma is a feature for a reason. Specially since its used in the very popular stack websites as-well.
yeah but the fact is i did have upvotes if you look at the history it was 20 or so right before i wrote another question.
that’s why i thought possibly it could be a bug or something… hence the post.

The important thing is: AnswerHub is a place to make and reply questions about Unreal Engine , this marvelous tool. .
Well something is definitely wrong with this system as my answer got accepted, upvoted and no karma gain. Later when I commented on a comment under my accepted answer, I actually LOST karma. Not really helpful. Either lock the topic on answer accept or simply dont touch karma for goodness sake.
