Will UR4 run work on my sons computer?

My son is asking for the UR4 software and before I buy it I want to make sure his laptop will run the software.

MacBookAir
OSx 10.9.4
Video Card: Intel Graphics 5000
Hard Drive: 121Gb flash storage
Memory 4Gbs
Processor: 1.4Gb
Intel core i5

It will run, but performance won’t be very good compared to recommended hardware. That said, as long as one doesn’t expect to open high-end demos on it, I’d say that with a few tweaks (disabling realtime viewport updates, lowering rendering quality or switching to mobile rendering emulation) it’s possible to use the editor on this MacBook Air quite comfortably.

I would recommend updating to OS X 10.10.1 as in this version Apple fixed certain problems with graphics drivers so when running on this version of OS UE4 doesn’t need to apply costly workarounds for these problems and works faster thanks to this.
