After temporary overclock Editor crash

I just spent 5 days working on a massive city and I was going to shoot a video (using fraps which I realized you purposely will not allow, popping up a advertisement for M$ Exchange Encoder which I would have to buy even though I bought FRAPS long ago and it works fine on absolutely everything else I use. So you should remove that crap). I pay for this product I should have right to use what I want when I want without ads.

Anyway I needed to over clock my CPU because I run 3 monitors and I was going to run it in stand alone mode. It crashed… I overclock my cpu all time without issue. I also always run stability test before continuing. I immediately closed client and reverted my system to not being overclocked. Now right when editor loads it crashes with this

Every version of editor tanks now… I was almost fine with it before I tried other versions because 4.6.1 is pretty unstable and I was thinking about going back to 4.5 but alas that too will not load. I verified all three versions I have and they crash… I also rebooted making sure my machine was running in a normal state. Seeing as how I set my cpu back to a normal state negative delta time seems to be a engine problem… What do I do find a new engine I hear unity 5 is coming out and it is quite good? Seeing as how Unreal 4 no longer works? I have seen another post on this problem where that person didn’t get help. staff just marked it as solved.

I have submitted a crash report every time it has crashed… We are actually making a game, every second this is down means not development from me… I don’t really have time to wait for xmas to be over for help.

We’re sorry to hear that you’re experiencing issues with editor. Our staff is mostly out on vacation, but there are a few people here today and I would like to help you as much as we can, maybe get you back up and running.

To that end, I have a few questions. When does editor crash, exactly? Are you able to open project browser from launcher and select a project? Are you able to create a new project? Do you always get same crash report?

If crash is happening when you open project, please and attach crash log for project after it crashes. Your dxdiag may be helpful as well.

Well I was able to get editor working again via several reboots. But I lost my landscape material.and two directories. Which is odd. editor now is sluggish. I decided to take this opportunity to just return to 4.5. One thing though I didn’t have any problems with 4.5 and now I do. When placing geometry is slow and hard to line up with grid with scale snapping and without. selection outline moves but geometry doesn’t. I am also having issues with selecting multiple objects and only some move while others have been unselected during move. Then at other times it seems to just select a different object. Like I said I didn’t have these problem in 4.5 before but it is present in 4.6 but not as extreme as it is now.

However for now problem is basically solved so thank you for your speedy response.
