What happened to wetness sparkles?

Greetings –

I have an editor view port issue - the ‘wetness sparkles’ caused by roughness (or lack thereof) seem to disappear from my editor viewport, seemingly without cause, and I can’t seem to get them back (short of rebuilding the engine, which I haven’t tried yet, and may or may not work). I believe I’m accidentally hitting a key, but not sure which one. Resetting to default seems to have no effect. However, it does seem to be specific to the viewport. I can bring up the viewport layout, and select another viewport, set it to Lit Perspective and the sparkles are there. However, I accidentally hit the unknown key - or something else occurs and the sparkles are gone, never to return, even after resetting defaults.

The screen shot hopefully illustrates what is happening - it is hard to see unless the camera is actually moving, causing the effect. the screen shot was taken as a single screenshot, illustrating that the one viewport is missing while at the same time, the other view port renders.

Any ideas on what I might be doing to turn of sparkle rendering. I have every graphic option turned on to Epic.

Thanks,

Update 1/5/15 - It seems to be related to the map. I opened another map and when I re-opened this map, the sparkles were back. However, they didn’t last very long. I also noted then when they disappeared, I hadn’t done anything out of the ordinary in terms of hitting inadvertent keys and the like.

No ideas? These sparkles are really pretty and it would be a drag to lose them… :frowning:

These aren’t showing up in game either…

I found the switch - but it doesn’t make sense. The wetness specular blooms disappear when the render mode of the viewport is in RealTime and they re-appear when RealTime is turned off.

Since this doesn’t make sense, I’m reporting this as a bug.
