All content is in the bad axis side

Why all maps, examples and content included the default arrows of the entities in the engine aim to +X and no to the front Y ?
The front is defined by the default UVMap of the BSP and the Front view in the editor but all content in the examples and engine aim to other side why ?

This is crazy, please aim the maps to the true Front and the entities and examples content.

And the second problems is at import from blender the i got in the front the bad side.

Hi Hevedy,

This is intended and will not be changed. On the import options you can change the rotation of the asset as well.

You can also see our documentation here that specifically mentions that the editors forward facing axis is positive X

Orientation: All models should have
their forward dimension facing in the
direction of the positive X-Axis.

Thank you!

Tim

Then rotate the default UVMap of the BSP brushes to the same side.

I dont find the option in the FBX Importer to modify the asset orientation. We always need to rotate the asset to face the positive X-Axis…

Hi Michael,

When you import just use the Transform Tab and adjust the Yaw to the rotation you would like.

When character faces positive X axis, it’s turned sideways in Persona by default, after opening. That confused me and i’ve thought that characters should face Y axis (so they open with “front view” in Persona), until i saw this question. Imho Persona should show skeletal meshes in front view by default (so users will not need to rotate every time to see their characters better)
