Large real city visualisation

Hi All,
for my school project I would like to make a visualisation of a real city where I live in.
I have all the models of buildings already created.

In the first step I would like to import real world terrain into UE4 with real world heightmap information which would represent part of country I want to work with (5km x 5km should be enough, maximum 10km x 10km ).

Next important thing is to be able to put Real Satelite texture on the terrain so I can see where I should put my buildings.

In last step I would like to add detailed materials for pavements and roads.

Could you please provide me any WORKFLOW on how to achieve this, or at least name the tools and software I could use for real terrain implementation to UE4 ?

Thank you,

Michal

Do you already have a height map of the area you are wanting to work with?
Honestly, your best bet would to manually create the height map to represent the area you are wanting to work with and taking that inside something like world machine.

There are tones of world machine tutorials that cover everything you need to know.
Here is one.

Google Earth Pro recently became free. The pro version allows you to export the data to image files which you can easily import into Unreal.

Ya, but does it include the buildings. I’ve only ever been able to get height maps from software like Google earth.

I sure hope Michal’s school project is done by now, as you are replying to a two year old thread

Anyway, if you mean that you want to do something similar and specifically need a solution for buildings than you should probably look at this openstreetmap import plugin that was recently released:
