Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Feature Request: List of API changes

I would like to see a single documentation page containing all the C++ API changes that have occurred over time, marked with the release in which they were made.

It can be confusing to see C++ tutorials using FPostConstructInitializeProperties, TSubObjectPtr and OVERRIDE when these are now obsolete/deprecated, so having a single point of reference would benefit everyone in my opinion.

I know that Rama creates threads in the Forum to discuss these things and help getting your project converted.

Hey thanks for the link; that's just the information I was looking for, however I would have preferred it to be from an official source and to include all versions of UE4. So I guess my question is now a feature request. I will edit.

  • to this. This is really painful to look through all of the commits every new version to see if any drastic changes were made. Or... We need source of that CHM docs file, Epic. Your colleagues from Unity Technologies give HTML version of docs. So it would be great if you did that too.

If we had HTML version we could create repos for doc and see all of the changes history.
