Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

Auto Exposure/Eye adaptation not working

Hi everyone,

I have UE4 4.6.1 installed on two machines, one at home and one in the office. I have the same project running on both but for my project on my office PC, eye adaptation/auto exposure works correctly on my Post Process but on my project in the house it doesn't work at all. No matter what i do to the properties it doesn't change.

I have checked the engine scale-ability options and im set to EPIC and ive checked to make sure everything is turned on in my Post process in the viewport.

The two PC's arent identical... my office PC is slightly higher spec but not by much.

Can anyone help me out here and shed some light on this?

Thanks!

Hey t3h4ndy -

Can you post some screenshots of your post process settings and if possible the DXDiags for each computer?

Thank You

Eric Ketchum

Hey Eric,

Thanks for the reply. I (luckily) figured it out about 10 minutes ago.

Seems to be a directX problem. I wasnt aware that i needed a DX11 compatible card to be able to see some PP effects such as auto exposure.

To be sure this was the problem I did an override to make my GTX285 run using DX11 (at a very bad framerate) and it worked correctly.

Hope this can help others.

Thanks for taking the time to help!
