How do I use the Draw Material node?

So I know how to use the “Draw Text” node with in HUD blueprint…I thought using the “Draw Material” node would be as equally straightforward. However, I cannot get my material (an icon) to appear on the HUD?

Is there some trick here to get a material to draw on the HUD? Are there any particular settings I need to have set for this material in the material editor?

I currently have all of the default values set in the “Draw Material” node and I DO have a valid material set into the node (my icon).

What am I missing?

OK, so I WAS actually able to achieve the drawing of an icon on the HUD using the “Draw TEXTURE” node…

Which then brings up another question: What’s the difference between the “Draw Material” and the “Draw Texture” nodes? When should I use each for HUD purposes?
