Search help

  • Simple searches use one or more words. Separate the words with spaces (cat dog) to search cat,dog or both. Separate the words with plus signs (cat +dog) to search for items that may contain cat but must contain dog.
  • You can further refine your search on the search results page, where you can search by keywords, author, topic. These can be combined with each other. Examples
    • cat dog --matches anything with cat,dog or both
    • cat +dog --searches for cat +dog where dog is a mandatory term
    • cat -dog -- searches for cat excluding any result containing dog
    • [cats] —will restrict your search to results with topic named "cats"
    • [cats] [dogs] —will restrict your search to results with both topics, "cats", and "dogs"

How do I use the Draw Material node?

So I know how to use the "Draw Text" node with in HUD blueprint...I thought using the "Draw Material" node would be as equally straightforward. However, I cannot get my material (an icon) to appear on the HUD?

Is there some trick here to get a material to draw on the HUD? Are there any particular settings I need to have set for this material in the material editor?

I currently have all of the default values set in the "Draw Material" node and I DO have a valid material set into the node (my icon).

What am I missing?

Hi VagrantProfile, Seems like everything fine.

Can you attach a screenshot of your Event Graph? it should help reveal problem.

OK, so I WAS actually able to achieve the drawing of an icon on the HUD using the "Draw TEXTURE" node...

Which then brings up another question: What's the difference between the "Draw Material" and the "Draw Texture" nodes? When should I use each for HUD purposes?
